StoveInfo
A WordPress and WooCommerce site that teaches homeowners to look after their stoves and fireplaces, with a shop of the parts they most often need.
A WordPress and WooCommerce site I built for StoveInfo.com, which belongs to its founder.
The site
StoveInfo.com is for homeowners who would rather fix their own stove or fireplace. Its founder has worked in the home heating industry for decades and wanted one trustworthy place for the answers people usually have to piece together.
What was built
- A WordPress site on GeneratePress, a lightweight theme that keeps pages fast without a page builder.
- A blog of guides and advice: choosing a stove, maintenance, and do-it-yourself repairs.
- A WooCommerce shop of the most commonly replaced parts, offered through affiliate partnerships.
- Entry points by fuel type (gas, electric and pellet, wood) on the home page.
- Google Analytics to see which guides and products people use.
What this means for your business
A content-plus-shop site is a good fit for a business that knows its subject well. The articles bring in search traffic from people with a specific problem, and the shop sells them the part that solves it.
